I can't believe how fast time flies! It's the end of September, which means that Craft Night is upon us!! I'm pumped about this one because the first one turned out wonderfully...I'm also anxious to see who's a repeat visitor and whether we get any new blood for the group.
I've been checking in with everyone to see what kind of progress they've made towards their projects...I have to say, I'm sooo impressed! It sounds like we've got some new die-hard crocheters and jewelry makers. I love that I'm spreading the craft-bug to more and more people...it makes me feel more sane when others share my insanity! :)
This has got me thinking...we should probably include a short time at the beginning of our sessions for "show and tell". Whenever I've gone to other get-togethers in the past, it was always neat to see what everyone had been working on since we met. Nothing makes you feel better than getting to proudly show what you've worked so hard to complete! So, if you're reading this and planning on attending the craft night TOMORROW, be sure bring anything you'd like to show-off!
This nifty little blog thingy allows me to "show and tell" whenever I feel like it, so to make up for my lackluster post earlier this September, here's what I've been working on....
I'm thrilled with how the blue/brass part turned out and I love the mustard-yellow jewels, but I'm not sure I'm 100% happy with having both of them on there. I'm going to live with it for a bit and see if it grows on me, if all else, I'll make it asymmetrical (my favorite thing to do).
This one is by far my favorite necklace I've made so far...it's kind of a silvery/purple/gray color scheme, and I've worn it a bunch since I've made it! It goes with everything and is really fun! I'll definitely be making more like this!

Reminder....The Last Tuesday Craft Night is TOMORROW (9/28)!!! Stop by my office anytime after 5:30pm, bring a snack if you'd like to share (Diana is contributing some pulled chicken for some substance and I'll have a bunch of yummy Tastefully Simple dips to share)!! And most importantly, bring your project that you'd like to work on! All are welcome!!!
